Hooks in the Water

 In Community

Affirming Works (AW) has always been a small team with a HUGE heart and I love how one of Massey University Scholars Tony Matson describes our work as “Hooks in the Water. ”

In our recent public holidays in Easter I took some time to reflect on its meaning and the work of Jesus and His disciples, many themselves fishermen. It reminded me of how little talent can go along way similar to that of a young Pacific girl who 15 years ago wanted to do something to help her community.

Matson’s report provides a systemic, strategic insight to our work we do everyday frontline, grassroots. We are excited that our new website provides a description of the HOOKS and it’s many people we do life with. Our service delivery ranges from primary, intermediate, secondary and new this year tertiary mentoring. With us serving our Family’s through Power up and Kainga Tu’umalie programmes not forgetting our Community cafes.
